IKUMBI YA SIASA INTERVIEW AT MUTONGOI TV, ON THE END GAME OF THE ONGOING BIPARTISAN TALKS.

During my interview at Mutongoi TV on “IKUMBI YA SIASA”on the ongoing bipartisan talks,I pointed out the following:
1:That we must support the ongoing talks,as they will set the foundation of creating inclusive political and economic institutions in the country.
2: That Kenyans must have a say through public participation forums,on issues that may lead to referendum if adopted in the bipartisan talks like entrenchment into constitution of CDF,Ward Development Fund, creation of leader of opposition and prime cabinet secretary offices among other issues presented.
3: That the talks should address fully the winner takes it all scenerio that has promoted unnecessary political competition, hence the root cause of the election related issues we face after every election.
4: That auditing of electoral processes and systems should be prioritized to identify and rectify any irregularities and errors to uphold the principles of democracy and maintain public trust in the electoral system,by taking advantage of the available and anticipated technological advancement.
5:That composition of IEBC,the election body in Kenya must have a face of key political players in the country and may include representatives from majority side, minority side, the church, Muslim community, law society of Kenya, civil society organizations among other players and shouldn’t be a one sided approach to enhance inclusivity and minimize political wrangles after elections.
6: That the ongoing talks, should also factor increase in equitable share to Counties, adoption of ward development fund to engineer development at the lowest level of development pyramid and increase allocation to CDF across 290 constituencies to promote social economic transformation.
7: That the ongoing bipartisan talks shouldn’t be used to plug the country into political moods as kenyans accepted the outcome of 2022 elections after supreme court ruling and it’s time for leaders to work and deliver their promises to the people.
We support the process and I hope it will bear fruits in providing solutions to some of issues we have faced for long.

THE BIPARTISAN TALKS END GAME?TODAY AT "IKUMBI YA SIASA" MUTONGOI TV ENGAGEMENT.

Tonight, from 9:30 PM,we engage on Pertinent Political Issues in the country, under “IKUMBI YA SIASA” program hosted by Erastus Nzomo at Mutongoi TV.

I took the opportunity to highlight our Progress as County Government and the strategies we have in place to achieve our agenda.
During a consultative meeting with the Matungulu Sub-County administration officers at Sub-County headquarters in Tala.
The meeting centered on mechanisms to improve performance, challenges being experienced, ways to address them and the available explorable opportunities to enhance quality of service to people of Matungulu and Machakos at large.
During a holy mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Nguluni ,in Tala Parish presided over by Fr.Marco Kitonyi.
We were encouraged by a word of God from acts of apostles on tapping into the power of holy spirit as christians.
The holy spirit renews our energy in worship and guides us to win battles we face in christian life.
As Paul writes,For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities ,against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Graced the 7th anniversary celebrations and opening of New Gateway Mall office in Syokimau for Fanaka Real Estate Ltd  as Chief Guest led by CEO Moses Muriithi.
Choosing Machakos as a favorite investment destination reflects the confidence investors have in our leadership and justifies our working with National Government to have all community and Government land across Machakos well protected and documented to eliminate grabbing.

During interdenominational prayer service organized by Machakos County Government in collaboration with Clergy Alliance of Kenya alongside our Governor H.E Hon Wavinya Ndeti and graced by Dorcas Gachagua, spouse to Deputy President,at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

During swearing in ceremony for county Public Service Board officials and several chief officers for
different departments within Machakos County Government.

The new team brings wealth of experience and expertise on board and I have confidence that they will add great value to public service and improve quality of service to Machakos people.

During 10th anniversary celebrations for Mars Wrigley Maua at their factory and head office in Athi River, Machakos.

The company is the leading manufacturer of chewing gum brands such as Big G,P.K,Doublemint,Juicy Fruit and Chocolate products among others.
It’s growth over the years reflects the company’s ambition, efficiency, competence and greater vision to bring difference in the lives of people through social economic platform and conducive environment for business the County Government has offered over the years.
Land is the primary factor of production process and its availability and proper utilization is the engine of economic growth for communities in Kenya and Government institutions through investors.
As a legitimate Government in office,we have every reason to protect and secure land in Machakos for the sake of investors and our people, ensure food production and engagement in economic activities.
The contested land in Kyumbi area of Mavoko Sub-County belongs to Machakos County Government and I assure our people that we will get to the bottom of the attempted grabbing and rightfully defend what belongs to Machakos people.
Yesterday’s incidence where a group of people armed with bows, arrows and machetes attempted attacks on people to engineer fear and fence the land is uncalled for and I condemn it with strongest terms possible and calls upon the security agencies to facilitate investigations and bring the culprits to book.

Sending warm wishes and hugs to all the incredible moms out there. Happy Mother’s Day to you all.
Your dedication is inspiring and You are truly amazing!

During my interview at MUTONGOI TV this morning,I reiterated that:
✓ The elected MPs and Senators must be on forefront to defend devolution at their respective roles in the bicameral legislature.
✓ That our people should take advantage of the rains and harvest rain water in plenty for use during dry season and plant trees in huge number to mitigate against Climate change.
✓ That as County Government will continue to work with National Government to benefit from development projects such like Yatta dam, Upgrade of Mawasco in Mavoko,multi-billion housing project in Mavoko,Cleaning of River Athi through Nairobi River Commission among others in the county.
✓ That we will work together with all elected leaders under one accord ” to serve the people”
✓ That MCAs being close to the people at grassroot level requires Ward Dvelopment Fund to engineer equitable distribution of development and economic programs from the lowest level upwards and legislative framework guiding this should be developed ASAP.
✓ That National treasury should be independent in it’s operationalization to avoid influence from some actors to delay timely disbursement of funds to Counties.
✓ That we should shun divisive politics and embrace progressive politics that encourages development across all levels
✓ That both Azimio and Kenya Kwanza administration should embrace the parliament way to engineer dialogue on issues facing our nation and destructive demonstrations should not be encouraged.
✓ The current tax recommendations by National Government should be reviewed as Kenyans are overburdened by the high cost of living.
